The reason why I am here is because of compatibility issues with my Mac Pros. Even Apogee abandon the Mac Pros and they left us with no future updates for their symphony-32 channel audio cards. Although Mac Pro users are a small percentage, I will never buy another one, but that's just me. We will not get the full benefit for usb-3 and this is well understood by Universal Audio, but at least UAD can considered drivers for the new Mac Pros. What do we supposed to do with all of our external gear that's firewire? Apple market the Mac Pros because of firewire and now it long forgotten. The new Mac Pros now come with usb-3 and let's not forget that Apple just completely abandon firewire and the PCI-e expansion slots! What a shame. I think the bulk of the problem is Apple because none of my Mac Pros are usb-3 and this was a standard on Window machines. At least the iMac can be purchased with a 5k display. If I were to do it again, I will purchase the iMac and daisy chain the hard drives via thunderbolt. It's like the Mac Pros were long forgotten and this has been discussed on numerous occasion by many hardware manufactures. The Apple display for the new Mac Pro is not even a 4 or 5k display. Now the new Mac Pros with thunderbolt cost at least $3,000 and that's without a monitor. I had several Mac Pro's and none of them came with thunderbolt. Click to expand.I agree, but listen to this.
